How To | Confetti Save the Date

Well, Tyler and I have set our date to be husband and wife!! We decided New Years Eve would be the perfect day to say ‘I Do’ and we are so excited! One thing I was extremely excited about was making our save the dates. I was inspired by a confetti one I had seen earlier in the year on Pinterest, and decided to make one with our colors and my own twist!

I was asked by a wedding site to show how I made them, so I wanted to share it with you all here as well! Enjoy!!

  •  I bought paper at Michaels that best fit our wedding colors, and cut them in circles and small strips using scissors, a Martha Stewart circle cutter (also found at Michaels) and a hole punch.
  •  I ordered small clear bags in bulk online, and taped them to the front of the save the date I designed with the confetti inside.
  • I stuck them inside an envelope and sealed it with washi tape.
  • Addressed and stamped them and… ta-dah!

Coffee With | Kari Crowe

I’m super excited to start this new series on the blog called ‘Coffe With’ where I get to interview fellow artists and talk life with them over a cup of jo. I always find myself in coffee meetings with friends and fellow artists about 2-3 times a week, and then it hit me- what a better idea then to document our time with a few photos and mini interview.

Mornings have always been my favorite part of the day, and when I get to share that time with another artist… it never disappoints.

What inspires your work the most:  Stories…I seek out art pieces for my home with a story, for my food blog I find stories or memories to pair with my images and my wedding clients are no different.  They are unique and have their own story and I’m lucky enough to capture a small piece of it on their wedding day.

Favorite coffee spot: My front porch, mug in hand and a light breeze with my husband and dog by my side.

Had my first cup of jo at the age of: four (My kinda gal!!)

Happy Friday!!

Blogshop Dallas

This past weekend was full of growing in my knowledge of all things Photoshop and blogging. I attended a little thing called, Blogshop, hosted by a favorite LA blogger of mine, Bri Emery- and an amazing photographer, Angela Kohler. If you’re a creative, you know there is nothing better than surrounding yourself with other creatives.

The art of art is all about being true to who you are and putting that out in every aspect of your blog. Whether you are a photographer, designer, stylist, graphic designer, or a musician…It’s a cool life you live, and who better to tell that story than you!
