There has been a lot of silence around me this past week. Yes, I did the usual driving from place to place and heard all the city sounds, along with the radio, doors opening and closing, people talking to each other, but there hasn’t been much talking going on with me. And it took me all about five seconds to realize why.

I’ve been with my Mac(s) computers all. week. long.

Of course owning a business there is always work to be done… but lets just say if me and Apple were going to play a game of dodgeball, they’d pick me first. We’re in the BFF terms for sure. That being said, I am thrilled to be spending my weekend at the lake! And I have it all planned out, if people aren’t really interested in what I have to say… the fishies at the lake have me covered.

When I met her she came with red balloons, TOMS and the cutest outfits in hand. In my mind, it was a perfect shoot waiting to happen.

Erin is a senior this year at Crowley High School and she has the sweetest personality. She is also a cheerleader for her school and loves all things photography. Holla! I HAVE to thank her for getting in some pretty risk-kay places with me for our shoot. We found a field with sunflowers to die for, and she willingly laid in the tall, itchy grass for a good two minutes while I shot above, below and all around her. I have the ant bites to prove it.

While we were shooting I couldn’t help but think she looked like a celebrity, but I just couldn’t quite put my finger on it. And then, as I was about to take a shot…. BLAKE LIVELY! Maybe it’s just me, but I think Erin has a long lost celebrity sister.

Thank you SO much Sheila and Erin for allowing me to document you in your senior year! I hope you always cherish these images and look back on them with a SMILE.

Erin & I started brainstorming a while back about a shoot we could put together to stretch our norm and get our creative juices flowing. Welp, after many-a-emails back and forth, we did it!! Our “Bohemian Meets Farm” shoot came to life with the help of many talented wedding vendors and one adorable real life couple. I absolutely love getting to be involved in shoots like this, I always meet the sweetest people!

Kara and Levi were married just a month ago, and they are 100% newlywed and precious! Love just oozes out of them. Thank you both for driving out for the day and letting Erin and I pose you in every which way, you guys are a wonderful!

To the girl that…

-Changed my diapers when Mom & Dad made you.

-Taught me how to read the summer before I started kindergarten.

-Kicked me out of your bedroom during sleepovers with your friends. But then they thought I was cute so you joyfully invited me back in.

-Threw a book (Webster’s Dictionary as I recall it) at my forehead and left a scar above my eyebrow to remind me of your love.

-Didn’t hold a grudge against me when the Christmas gift I knew about would accidently slip out.

-Played jokes on me just to get satisfaction in my What’s-Going-On face.

-Rocked the salad bowl haircut better than anyone I know. (What are sisters for?)

-Went to EVERY basketball, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, and singing event just to cheer me on. (Even when I scored a point for the opposing team)

-Taught me life lessons without saying a word.

-Gave me the BEST brother-in-law, nephew & niece a girl could ask for.

-Showed me that nothing in the world is more important than family, and the Man who blessed us with it all.

After *ahem, ahem, cough, cough* years of being my sister, you never cease to amaze me and teach me new things everyday. I will always look up to you when I am happy, sad, needy or thankful. You are the BEST mom, sister, daughter, niece, granddaughter, and wife I know. I hope to someday be as brilliant as you in my upcoming years of life. Love you sissy!!!

I am extremely excited to announce a BRAND NEW session being offered here at Amanda Marie Portraits! I have thought long and hard about what to call this new type of session, and my inspiration came to me through a small keychain. On a recent vacation a couple of months ago, I saw a square keychain with the words, “Dream It. Wish It. Do It.” I purchased it immediately and right then and there, I knew what to call this session.

This session is meant to provide photos for you with ANY theme, talent, or wish you have! For this shoot, we did a 70′s theme. Whether you want to become a fashion designer, chef, writer, ANYthing—this type of session is for you. There are no boundaries to what you can do in life, and I strongly believe if you dream it you can wish it, and if you wish it you can DO IT.
